About this activity

The highlight of this tour is Swimming with the Pigs at Crystal Beach. This is a unique fun activity for all the family to experience where you get to feed the pigs, pet them, hold them, swim with them, and enjoy the beautiful turquoise clear waters of the Bahamas. You will be interacting with the pigs, up close and personal. At the beginning of our day trip, we tour all the points of interest in Freeport and Lucaya. We tour the coastline where you will see our Taino Beach public park, Smith's Point - Home of the famous Fish Fry, Sanctuary Bay - Home of the Dolphins and we stop at the Port Lucaya Marketplace for shopping time where you can buy local souvenirs and uniquely Bahamian Arts & Crafts. After Swimming with the Pigs, you do have the option to Snorkel/Swim with the Turtles at the private bay nearby. You can bring your own equipment or rent it at this activity which is not included. Additionally, we tour West End, the oldest settlement of Grand Bahama and visit Old Bahama Bay.

Terrific day!

My daughter and I joined Hida, from Experience Grand Bahama, to tour the West End, swim with the pigs and snorkel with turtles. We had a ball! Hida is attentive and flexible to make the tour exactly what you want it to be. Her car was very clean and she followed all health protocols, which we appreciated. Hida clearly knows how to make guests feel cared for. Highly recommend!

Swim with pigs/turtles

Me and my sister did the swim with pigs/swim with turtles.. and it was so much fun! The tour guides were very knowledgeable and experienced and very fun! I am glad that we did both tours :") highly recommend

Knowledgeable and caring

My husband and I spent two days with Hida- one day touring the West, the other touring the East. Each day, Hida picked us up at the resort and brought us back--she even brought a cooler of water to keep us hydrated during the day. The first day, we stopped at the brewery, toured the West and swam with the pigs at Crystal Beach, went snorkeling and swimming with the sea turtles at Paradise Cove, and had a great lunch at the beautiful and tranquil Teasers Tiki Bar in the West End, on Old Bahama Bay. Along the way, we watched how conchs are removed from their shells and stopped at a blue swimming hole only a local could tell you about. On day two, we traveled through the East and saw the dolphins being fed, (we had already been shopping in Lucaya, so we didn't stop there again), went to Taino Beach and Banana Bay, Millionaire's Row, Lucayan National Park, the Garden of the Groves, and ate a delicious lunch (packed by Hida) on Gold Rock Beach. Hida personalized our experience, even helping my husband look for a sand dollar (he collects them everywhere we go!) She shared the history of the island and people, bringing their experiences to life. Hida's car was clean, everyone sanitized frequently, masks were required. She personalized our experience based on what we were interested in and was thoughtful in paying attention to small details. She even took pictures of us, so we could enjoy the moments and each other. We highly recommend Hida and will be sure to meet with her again when we return in the Spring.

Swimming with the pigs!!

What an amazing tour of Grand Bahama!! Our tour guide Hida was wonderful and incredibly helpful. Very knowledgeable about the area. Swimming with the pigs was the highlight of the tour. No need to travel to other islands. What a great hidden secret. Highly recommend!!

Great experience

It was the greatest experience for all our family. The pigs are so friendly and cute. I just wanted to hug all of them, and they allow you to do it. The stuff is also very friendly, they do an excellent job. It is a must to do activity, we highly recommend it.

We loved swimming with...

We loved swimming with the pigs and even added snorkeling with a guide to our day. Kids had a blast and saw lots of creatures (fish, turtles, stingray)It was great to be with Hida and not on a crowded bus. She took us to shop and try the best conch fritters!
