Another amazing experience with the reel dream fishing crew! We are repeat visitors and will continue to highly recommend Capt Donnie and his team to others! Wether it’s snorkeling the reef/turtles, enjoying their private beach or fishing they have amazing accommodations.
Our trip with Captain Justin was simply AMAZING! Captain Justin was a TRUE professional as he was a fantastic host and he was very fun, friendly, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. We went fishing and caught a lot of fish. We went snorkeling and saw several beautiful sea turtles. And we went to a nice little private beach at the end of our excursion. Simply put, I would STRONGLY recommend booking an excursion with Captain Justin - it is worth every penny and is a TON of fun!
Our group of 4 (parents and two boys 12 and 15) were in Nassau for one day on a cruise. We booked the afternoon charter with Captain Justin. Our cruise left earlier than we had planned so we had less time than expected. Justin did a great job though of fitting in everything we wanted to do. We did some reef fishing, with a couple of nice catches and some near misses. We also got to swim with a sea turtle and snorkel on a coral reef. To top it off Justin made a special drop off near the cruise ship to maximize our time on the water. I’d highly recommend spending the day with Justin.
Our captain Justin was very experienced, unfortunately the day we choose was rough seas, however he managed to find a few drops where we caught some small fish. My grandsons enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend this charter. The crew are very friendly, respectful and full of fun.
We had the best time! Was patient, kind, educational, and adapted to everything we wanted during our time.
When we told our 9-yr-old son that we were going to the Bahamas, his very first question was, "Can we go fishing in the ocean?!" That took me to a TripAdvisor search for fishing charters, and I only came across great reviews for Reel Dreams. We are from Wisconsin, so we are used to fishing only in lakes for perch, walleye, panfish, etc. :) We did a morning trip (~7:50am til noon), and we started with deep sea trolling. They got a blackfin tuna on and let our son reel it in - so awesome. Then we continued trolling without any luck, so Captains Justin and Jonathan (the best guys!) said they would take us in to the reef to fish off the bottom. They got all 3 of us with poles, and as soon as we had our lines down, they started biting and didn't stop! We caught strawberry grouper, yellowtail snapper, and white grunts pretty much nonstop. Once we had about 14 fish, our time was up, so we headed back to the docks. Capt Justin cleaned all of the fish for us, and he highly suggested taking our catch right upstairs to the Poop Deck restaurant where they would cook them up for us for lunch. Since it was just the 3 of us, and we had SO many fillets, we took only a couple bags with us, and sent the rest of the fillets home with our trusty captains to enjoy. The fish was the BEST we had ever had, and it was such a fun way to end our fantastic experience with getting to eat what we caught. Highly recommend Reel Dreams for an amazing charter fishing experience in the Bahamas ~ we can't wait to go back some day!
