Best excursion so far out of all my cruises! Everyone at Bowcar was nice and informative, from the young man who picked us up, the young lady who did our reservation & gave us our keys, to the guy who gave instructions on how to operate the buggy and restaurant recommendations. We rented the buggy for 6 hours and made our own itinerary. We had the best time and plan to visit again, this time we’ll stay at a resort.

We really enjoyed our Buggy rental. From the time we arrived, all the employees took great care in helping us. They picked us up, helped in loading wheelchair and walker for my parents and loaded them in Buggy as well. We highly recommend this for anyone but especially those who can't do alot of waking. We rented the gps and were given a map with attraction. Great way to see the island.

On time, you get exactly what you are promised, not a ceowded place and always someone availanle to help you. The service was exceptional. Bowcar is the name of the company. Is the only thing i found trouble finding to see who would pick us up at the port. But they were 3 minutes ahead of time and the process super smooth
Next time we'll book for longer.

We rented a bowcar while we were on a Carnival Cruise that stopped in Nassau. It was by far the best day of our 7 day trip! We rented the 6 person buggy for 4 hours, and after 2 hours wished we had rented for longer! It was a great way to see the island, and get away from the crowds of the crusie ship.
Pickup was on time, right in front of the Cruise Pier, and we were at their facility in under 10 minutes. Our group of 2 adults, 3 teens and a 3 year old fit just fine in the 6 person buggy, and the back had tons of space for all of our bags/towels/stroller etc. We took the drive out west to Jaws Beach which was awesome! Only about 6-8 other people there, super calm crystal clear water for swimming, and enough fish by the old pier posts to have decent snorkeling. We wish we had grabbed sandwiches and drinks to bring with us, as there are no facilites or shops whatsoever.
On our way back to Nassau, we stopped at the Big Yard fish fry for some Bahamian fried food! Had the whole fried snapper, conch fritters, and chicken wings, and everything was awesome. Shout out to Elvis who watched the car for us right out front.
When we retured the Bowcar, we asked to be dropped off at the Pirate Museum instead of the pier. Mr. Rusty who was our main contact all day dropped us off and said he'd double check to make sure we didnt leave anything. While we were in the museum, one of the museum staff brought us our 3 year old's pacifier that Mr Rusty found in the car and drove back to drop off for us! Service like that speaks for itself!
Thanks to all the Bowcar staff for such a great day. We hope to see you all again very soon.

The employees are extremely friendly and professional. As well as knowledgeable and helpful. The ATV’s are very new and clean. If you have the international plan on your cell phone, your GPS will work perfectly the entire time. Go to the suggested places the employees map out for you. If you want to hit everything rent for more than one day, we struggled a little bit with driving on the opposite side of the road but by the end of the day we had it down.

Everyone are so nice. Specially the driver who pick us up and drop us off, the local people there are nice too they show us where is everyone at! If I come back to Bahamas we will definitely do it again

Once outside the cruise terminal, it is maybe a 3-minute drive to pick your vehicle. The vehicle does not have a USB port, so no way to charge your phone, but they were more than willing to drive and get me a USB car charger (above and beyond service). Quick explanation of the functions and rules, then a map with the highlights to see. We were off for our 6-hour use of the buggy. The vehicles are almost all new, in excellent condition, if you rather use a GPS than your phone it is an additional $10.00. We had a blast, the only negative (it's really not a negative) there is no windshield, so... if you are doing 40MPH you are getting hit with that wind. So make sure you are wearing glasses and a hat would probably help too. On our day it was close to 90, so the open air was quite refreshing. I did rent a car as a backup in case of poor weather. Overall, if I would be in Nassau in the future, I would consider this again.
6-seater is 3 and 3 in seating and a decent size flat bed trunk to haul stuff. 3 adults in the front could be a bit tight for comfort. The vehicle has plenty of cup holders and to be honest was pretty comfortable. Being 6' tall, sitting in the back was not tight either.

Unfortunately, the rental didn't include a tour; we were given 4 hours to leisurely ride around the Island. We rented a buggy and it wasn't clear, at booking, that the tour would not be included unless you rent the ATV's. This day was in celebration of my mother's 75th birthday and renting an ATV just wasn't ideal for us. I would suggest that the company provide a map of tour locations so that it can be an option for those who cannot rent the ATVs. We were provided a map of the Nassau and Paradise Islands but nothing specific regarding the historic locations or island history. The buggy seemed very safe, was clean, and rode nicely. Overall, we enjoyed our time.

One of the best experience on this holiday, the 6 seater buggy was new and clean, the staff were very courteous and friendly. They have a pick and drop to the cruise port too, if you need hassle free experience of Nassau, go to Bowcar rentals. They are the best.

Great High End ATvs and great service. 6 Seater ATV was in like new condition. Was very comfortable for 6 adults and the machine had plenty of power.

First time in the Bahamas couldn't have went better, Rico met us at the gate as we left the cruise ship, arranged transportation to the lot to pick up the buggy. Once at the lot Sonny, Rusty, and Ashley showed us excellent customer service and hospitality. Most definitely will visit next time in the Bahamas.

Every single member of the staff that we interacted with was phenomenal - very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The buggy road well and fit all our day packs. The optional gps was a lifesaver since we did not have cell service on the island. We would definitely do this again!
Some tips: The middle seats are best for children or small adults as they are fairly narrow. Plan your stops and eating ahead of time - the GPS is not like Google maps so it didn't list hours of operation for eateries (some of which are only open on weekends for lunch) and had a few outdated business listings that were no longer open.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The best part of the tour were our guides Recco and Mano, they took excellent care of us and always ensured the group was safe which is most important. I have to say the guide and customer service was unmatched. We were picked up at our hotel on time and every thing!
I rated this tour a 4/5 because we did not get to stop at the Rum Distillery as described and the lunch was not filling or that good for the price that you are paying. Other that these things, I would recommend.

The great part was we got picked up directly at our hotel to go to the rental place. Sign some waivers, leave a deposit, and pretty much off you go. We were given a map with a few places of interest circled. We were pretty much lost right out of the gate so I would definitely suggest GPS if you have it available. I did not have a roaming plan so that made it a bit more difficult. The Jeep/buggy was cool to drive but a bit intimidating at first since you're on the same road as regular cars and the fact I come from the US and not used to driving on the left side of the road. You get the hang of it pretty quick though. Definitely bring some kind of eye protection (luckily I had sunglasses) otherwise, you might have debris flying into your eyes since it's all open (no windshield). It did rain for a few minutes while I was driving the vehicle and that is not a pleasant experience because going at that speed, each raindrop felt like tiny pellets hitting your body. All in all, the experience is what you can make of it. I have one tip for Bowcar and one tip for future customers. For Bowcar, provide a simple GPS system (like Tomtom or Garmin) to help your customers navigate. Not every who travels internationally has a roaming plan they want to use just for navigation. For prospective future travelers, have a somewhat decent plan with places you'd like to see so you at least have a general direction. Don't be like us where we went in with zero plans and we just ended up driving around to different places and got lost... A LOT, which I normally wouldn't mind if you were along the coast line to enjoy the view but we got lost in some really shady looking places where I would never want to be caught in if it were nighttime.
